Romelu Lukaku is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is playing well at the moment. Lukaku has scored 16 goals and created 33 chances in 24 league matches for the Toffees so far this season.

The Belgium international striker has struggled for consistency from time to time, but he is almost impossible to stop when he is on song.

Former Celtic and Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has praised the attitude shown by Lukaku so far this season. The talkSPORT pundit has also outlined the improvements he has made.

“Lukaku has always had the talent and physicality but now he is taking up better positions and running off the ball intelligently, rather than standing still. His touch has also improved,” Cascarino wrote in The Times.

“His attitude has often been questioned but I don’t see a problem. He doesn’t miss many games through fitness issues and his decision to leave Chelsea so that he could play more football – first with West Bromwich Albion, on loan, and now Everton – is encouraging.”

Lukaku is not a world-class striker yet, but he will become so in the next two or so years. What the Belgian needs to do now is work hard and continue to improve himself.

Everton are a massive club and have a loyal fanbase, and the Belgian striker should continue playing at Goodison Park. Working under manager Ronald Koeman is only going to make Lukaku a better player.

Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 41 points from 25 matches.

The Toffees will return to action on February 25 when they take on Sunderland at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
