Tottenham Hotspur lost against West Ham United in the Premier League on Friday evening.
Hugo Lloris is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and is a key figure in the current Tottenham Hotspur team.
Lloris has been at Tottenham since 2012, and the Frenchman is a world-class goalkeeper. The 30-year-old is at the top of his game, and he is going to stay there for a few more years.
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino, though, does not seem to be too convinced by the France international goalkeeper.
Cascarino was not too impressed with the performance of Lloris for Tottenham against West Ham United in the London derby on Friday evening.
The former Lyon star started the Premier League game for Spurs at the London Stadium and played for the entire 90 minutes.
“At one point Hugo Lloris tried a little dink over an onrushing forward,” Cascarino wrote in The Times. “It was too dangerous, and his team were put under unnecessary pressure.
“The goalkeeper’s kicking is a real issue: he has flappy feet, often failing to get a good connection. It’s surprising as Spurs like to play out from the back, so a goalkeeper who is skilful with his feet should be a priority.
“I have mixed feelings about Lloris. He makes lots of good saves but he’s not the most commanding of figures.”
Tottenham, who lost 1-0 to West Ham on Friday evening, are second in the Premier League table with 77 points from 35 matches, four points behind leaders and London rivals Chelsea, who have played a fewer game.
