Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has suggested in The Times that Jack Wilshere should stay at Arsenal.

Wilshere is out of contract at Arsenal this summer, and has been linked with Everton, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers among other clubs in the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Everton, West Ham, Wolves and Leicester City all are interested in securing the England international midfielder this summer.

Cascarino, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, has suggested that the 26-year-old should remain at the Emirates Stadium beyond the summer of 2018.

“He should stay, as long as the next Arsenal manager wants him,” Cascarino wrote about Wilshere in The Times.

Arsenal exit or Emirates Stadium stay?

Wilshere has done relatively well this season and is fully fit at the moment, and his performances have been very encouraging.

There will be questions on the Englishman’s long-term fitness, but he could prove to be a smart signing for the likes of Everton, West Ham or Wolves.

The 26-year-old would improve the midfield of the Toffees, the Hammers and the Wanderers, and given that he would be a free signing, he could prove to be a very valuable acquisition.
