Tony Cascarino thinks that Tottenham Hotspur should have signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

The former Villa striker made the comments following Grealish’s brilliant performance against Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend.
The 24-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, was the star of the show in Villa’s 2-1 win against Brighton at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The attacker scored for Dean Smith’s side in first-half injury time and also provided the assist for Matt Targett’s winner in the closing stages of the encounter.
So far this season, Grealish has scored two goals and provided three assists in nine Premier League appearances for Villa, according to WhoScored.
Cascarino was impressed with Grealish, and he believes that the Villa star would not look out of place in the current Tottenham team.
The former Republic of Ireland international striker, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, has also suggested that Spurs should have pushed for a move for Grealish in the summer transfer window.

Cascarino wrote in The Times: “Jack Grealish is playing like a man who belongs in the Premier League. He was outstanding against Brighton: getting his team on the ball, driving them forwards and creating and scoring goals. It was a captain’s performance.
“Grealish will test Aston Villa’s ambitions sooner rather than later. A midfielder with his talent should be playing Champions League football.
“He would not look out of place in midfield for Tottenham, who did not push the boat out to sign him in August.”
