Tony Cascarino is not impressed with Crystal Palace manager Frank De Boer.
Popular football pundit Tony Cascarino predicts that Frank de Boer won’t last long at Crystal Palace.
Cascarino has questioned De Boer’s appointment by saying that he doesn’t find enough logic behind appointing the Dutchman.
Palace in recent years have survived in the Premier League under the likes of Tony Pulis and Sam Allardyce, but Cascarino is sceptical whether De Boer is the right man for the club.

In fact, Cascarino says that De Boer’s tactics and style are all wrong at this level. And doubts the tenure of the former Ajax manager in the Premier League outfit.
“Having survived in the Premier League under the likes of Tony Pulis and Sam Allardyce I can’t understand Crystal Palace appointing Frank De Boer. His tactics and style are all wrong for that level. I don’t think he will last too long,” wrote Cascarino for The Times.
Palace suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of newcomer Huddersfield on their opening game of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
Reflecting on the defeat, De Boer said that he was taught a “harsh lesson” and that nobody expected such a result.
De Boer has won titles with Ajax, and needs time to settle down in a different league. It is probably harsh and unfair to make a strong and bold prediction like this based on one single game.
