Tony Cascarino has showered praise on West Ham manager David Moyes.
Former Chelsea player-turned-pundit Tony Cascarino has praised David Moyes for doing a brilliant job at West Ham.
The former Manchester United manager replaced Slaven Bilic as the Hammers boss, and has been doing a fine job so far.
The Hammers have lost only once in their last eight Premier League games, and their latest 4-1 win over Huddersfield have seen them move up to 11th in the league.
Cascarino says that Moyes looks a “different person” from the one who couldn’t prevent Sunderland from getting relegated. He notes that Moyes has got his mojo back at the London club.
What Moyes has done extremely well is getting the best out of his key players like Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble and Marko Arnautovic.
Cascarino also adds that Moyes has dropped players like Andy Carroll, Joe Hart and Javier Hernandez, and those big decisions have paid off.
The former Everton manager has turned West Ham’s season around, and Cascarino says that he has learnt from his past mistakes, and has returned as a better manager.
“David Moyes looks a completely different person to the one that was unable to stop Sunderland getting relegated last season. He’s got his mojo back at West Ham United,” wrote Cascarino for The Times.
“He has players such as Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble and Marko Arnautovic playing out of their skins. Lanzini is filling the creative role left vacant by Dimitri Payet while Noble looks a new player under Moyes, who has made some big decisions, such as dropping Andy Carroll, Joe Hart and Javier Hernández, and it has paid off.
“The Scot has turned West Ham’s season round to such an extent that it really makes me think he has learnt from his failings at Sunderland, Real Sociedad and Manchester United and come back as a much better manager.”
