Tony Cascarino is backing Daryl Horgan for a move to the Premier League, amid interest Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Sunderland to name but a few.
Pundit Tony Cascarino has told Irish radio station Today FM that he thinks Dundalk winger Daryl Horgan will join a Premier League team in the near future.
Horgan, 24, has starred for Dundalk this season, hitting ten goals in his last 22 games, to not only fire the Lilywhites to the League of Ireland Premier Division title, but also help them make headlines in the Europa League.
With a win over Maccabi Tel Aviv and a draw against AZ Alkmaar, Dundalk have a real chances of reaching the knockout stages of the Europa League, with winger Horgan playing a huge role for Stephen Kenny’s side.

Unfortunately for Kenny, Horgan looks set to leave Oriel Park. His contract with the club expires in December, and a number of clubs in Britain have been linked with move to snap him up.
RTE recently claimed that Aston Villa, Newcastle and Preston North End are among the Championship clubs chasing Horgan, whilst The Irish Sun noted that Sunderland are also interested.
Horgan and his Dundalk team-mate Andy Boyle were both called up for the Republic of Ireland squad for Saturday’s game against Austria, and their stock is constantly rising ahead of their transfer decisions, with both players set to become free agents.

Now, former Ireland international and current pundit Tony Cascarino has had his say on Horgan telling Irish radio station Today FM that he really likes the winger because he’s ‘got a bit of everything’.
Cascarino then predicted a move to the Premier League rather than the Championship, revealing that he knows a Premier League manager who is ‘very interested’ in signing Horgan – which will no doubt spark further rumours of a move to Sunderland.

“I’ve seen quite a bit of him, and I really like him,” said Cascarino. “He’ll be playing in England after Christmas, he’ll be playing over here.”
“Maybe one better,” he added when asked whether Horgan will join a Premier League club. “I do know a bit more than what most people know about him, and I know there’s a Premier League manager very interested in him.”
“I like him, I think he can go both ways. He’s left sided, but he’ll come in on his right foot more often than not, but when he goes on his left, he’s very very capable. He’s got a bit of everything,” he added.
