Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has written in The Times that Roberto Firmino and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be key players in the Premier League game between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Brazil international Firmino, who can operate as an attacking midfielder, forward or winger, is likely to start for Liverpool at Anfield on Monday evening.

Swedish striker Ibrahimovic, who joined United in the summer transfer window after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, is set to lead the line for the Red Devils.

Cascarino has also predicted Liverpool to win the game at Anfield this evening.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino reacts

“Roberto Firmino can play his part in Liverpool’s slick attacking moves but he is particularly valuable in front of goal,” Cascarino wrote in The Times while naming Firmino as Liverpool’s key player.

“He is a predator who can move into good positions and finish well. I suspect he will be Liverpool’s top scorer, as he was last season.”

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s role will be crucial in this match,” Cascarino wrote in while naming Ibrahimovic as Liverpool’s key player.

“The striker is likely to be isolated when he receives possession because United will move the ball to him quickly.

“That means he must hang on to it long enough to allow his team-mates to join him — and he is capable of doing just that.”

“I think Liverpool will have the edge: they are outstanding in midfield, whereas Mourinho hasn’t yet found the right balance in United’s engine room,” added Cascarino while predicting Liverpool to win.

Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Firmino has been playing well for Liverpool so far this season and will be important for the Reds against United.

The 25-year-old former Hoffenheim star has scored three goals and created 20 chances in six Premier League appearances for the Merseyside outfit so far this campaign.

Ibrahimovic has scored four goals and created eight chances in seven league matches for United so far this season.

Liverpool are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment, while United are currently seventh in the standings.
