West Bromwich Albion loanee Salomon Rondon has ended a successful campaign with Newcastle United.

Tony Cascarino has picked Newcastle United striker Salomon Rondon over Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette in his Team of the Season.
The TalkSport pundit could only pick one player from each team and he opted to go for Rondon over Lacazette because of how important he has been for the Magpies this term.
The Premier League season came to an end on Sunday afternoon and Newcastle recorded a 4-0 win at Fulham with Rondon finding the back of the net.
Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast on TalkSport (11/05/2019 at 9:10 am), Cascarino shared which player he has picked to play up front in his Team of the Season.
“I went for Salomon Rondon,” Cascarino told TalkSports. “The other choice that I had was Lacazette. I thought Lacazette or Rondon? Rondon’s impact at Newcastle has been one of the main reasons why they stayed up.
“He turned up from West Brom injured in the summer and when he turned up the first 10 games, he didn’t quite get going. From that moment on, to a man, I can’t think of a more important player at any club because what he did in leading the line for them I just had to go for Rondon.”

Rondon is on-loan at St James’ Park from Championship side West Brom, who are vying to make a return to the Premier League for next season.
With the 2018/19 campaign now at a close, Rondon is set to return to his parent club in the summer as it remains to be seen where he will be playing his football next term.
Given the impact he has had on Benitez’s side, there is no doubt that the Toon Army supporters will want him to lead the line for them again.
