Tottenham Hotspur dropped valuable points against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Tony Cascarino didn’t hold back in his criticism of Tottenham ace Hugo Lloris by claiming he has ‘never been good enough’ to play at the top level.
The senior Spurs goalkeeper was in the headlines for the wrong reasons once again at the weekend when his mistake led to Liverpool netting a 90th-minute winner at Anfield.
After going behind to a Roberto Firmino goal in the first half, Mauricio Pochettio’s side came back with a bang and equalised through Lucas Moura after the break. The game looked like it was heading for a draw before Mo Salah’s tame header wasn’t cleanly caught by Lloris, who ended up conceding a valuable goal.
Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on talkSPORT (01/04/2019 at 7:40 am), Cascarino made it pretty clear that Lloris has never been good enough even though he has a World Cup to his name.
“I think Lloris is a very good shot-stopper, but every now and again, more regular than most, he will drop a clanger,” Cascarino told talkSPORT. “I don’t think his kicking has ever been good. He just isn’t a footballing goalkeeper. Presence? Never the presence of a David Seaman.
“Yes, he’s won the World Cup. He was behind a very good French team. In that final, he made an absolute stinker of a mistake. I just think he’s done it more often than most at the top end of the table.
“Do I think Lloris is a keeper that is going to lift trophy after trophy? I never have done. I’ve been saying this for years. He’s never ever been good enough to be a goalkeeper that is going to win the Premier League.”

At the start of the season, Lloris would have been coming into the new campaign on the back of helping France win the World Cup in Russia.
But despite being on a high and in a confident mood, Lloris hasn’t been able to produce the goods this term and he has ultimately made a number of costly mistakes.
Against the likes of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, against Manchester United at Wembley and in the Champions League, supporters could raise questions about their man in between the sticks.
