Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson in the summer transfer window.

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino suggested on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Sunday morning (broadcast from 7am, June 18, 2017) that Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
According to a recent report in The Sun, Tottenham are interested in signing Mawson from Premier League rivals Swansea in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Spurs will make an offer of £15 million in order to secure the services of the defender.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly been in touch with the Swans regarding the transfer of the 23-year-old centre-back.
Mawson joined Swansea from Barnsley in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Star to be worth £5m.
The England Under-21 international defender made 27 appearances in the Premier League for Swansea last season, scoring four goals in the process.
Former Chelsea striker Cascarino has given his verdict on Mawson, suggesting that the defender would be a good signing for Tottenham.
“I saw Mawson play two or three times towards the end of the season,” said Cascarino about Mawson on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Sunday morning (broadcast from 7am, June 18, 2017).
“He matured over the year, over the season. When he first came from Barnsley, I felt, ‘Okay, it’s a big step, he takes over from Ashley Williams, the captain’.
“As the season wore on, he improved, and by the end of the season he was one of the best centre-halves playing in the Premier League.
“I totally get why Tottenham have such an interest for someone like an Alfie Mawson that has jumped up a level, showed he can handle it, no problem at all. Can he go again?”
