Ayoze Perez left Newcastle United for fellow Premier League side Leicester City last week.

Tony Cascarino has claimed that Ayoze Perez will struggle to perform at Leicester City following his recent move from Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old penned a four-year contract at the King Power Stadium [Leciester official website] just days after Rafa Benitez officially left St James’ Park.
Last season, Perez was pivotal in Newcastle securing their status in England’s top-flight, with West Brom loanee Salomon Rondon helping him in a huge manner.
Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast on TalkSport (06/07/2019 at 8:45 am), former Republic of Ireland international Cascarino thinks Perez will be a ‘miss’ at Leicester.
“The only trouble is he did really well at Newcastle during the second part of the season,” Cascarino told TalkSport. “Rondon played a big part in why he scored so many goals – he just took centre stage and scored some brilliant goals.
“I just think he’s going to find it harder at Leicester because Vardy doesn’t play anywhere near the same game as Rondon. Okay, they both like to run the channels and get into space.
“But I just think he’s going to find it a little tougher to do what he did at Newcastle. I’m going [Perez will be a transfer] miss. Largely his career was in and out at Newcastle. Only near a time during last season did Perez show qualities that he does have. He can prove me wrong!”

After playing alongside Rondon at St James’ Park, Perez will now play alongside or in behind a completely different player in Jamie Vardy.
Not only that, under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers, he will be tasked to keep the ball a lot more, push higher up the field and make more attacking runs into the penalty area.
There’s no doubt that Perez has the qualities to produce the goods under Rodgers, who is known in bringing the best out of players and taking their game to the next level. But will he do it with Perez?
