Tottenham Hotspur will now be preparing for their Champions League tie against Ajax.

Tony Cascarino has launched a staunch defence of Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son after he was sent off during his sides 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Referee Craig Pawson branded a straight red to Son just before the stroke of half-time for pushing over Jefferson Lerma in what was an out-of-character reaction from the Spurs man.
Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast on TalkSport (05/05/2019 at 7:40 pm), Cascarino came to the defence of Son, who has had an ‘impeccable’ playing career.
“I hate these types of sending offs because they are relatively very small incidents,” Cascarino told TalkSport. “The second one, I absolutely agree it’s a red card.
“Heung-Min Son, 27-years-old, never been sent off. We are talking about a guy with an impeccable playing career that gets a red card. He pushes him and the player goes down so easily that Craig Pawson decides to give him a red card. I think it’s very harsh.”
Son wasn’t the only player sent off during that heated fixture, with substitute Juan Foyth also shown a straight red for a high lunge moments after he came onto the pitch.

Before all of those incidents took place, Eric Dier, who was subbed at half-time, could have also been dismissed and potentially given away a penalty when he fouled Callum Wilson.
At the time, the defeat looked costly for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but since then, both Manchester United and Arsenal dropped points in the league which means Spurs will finish in the top-four.
That will now allow them to focus on preparing for their Champions League semi-final second leg encounter against Ajax on Wednesday in Holland.
