Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is under pressure.

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Davinson Sanchez has been thrust into the spotlight this season with Jan Vertonghen left out of the line up.
As Tottenham’s record defensive signing, and entering his third season at the club, Sanchez should be better equipped to handle it than he currently is showing.
Pundit Tony Cascarino was critical of his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle.
He highlighted Sanchez as just one of the issues dogging Tottenham right now.
Cascarino told The Times: “They look disjointed and lacking in ideas on the pitch.
“Players such as Lucas Moura only seem to perform when they come off the bench, Davinson Sánchez looked all over the place in defence and the situation with Christian Eriksen must be troubling for the squad.”

Sanchez has had a perfectly solid first two seasons at Spurs, but this is a point where they need him to get better and not go backward.
Both Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen face uncertain futures, with their contracts set to expire in 2020.
The centre-back situation is one Tottenham need to solve both short term, and long term.
