Tony Cascarino was impressed with Morgan Gibbs-White’s performance for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Cascarino has also compared Gibbs-White to West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere, claiming that the Wolves ace is a “special talent”.
“Morgan Gibbs-White at Wolves looked a special talent against Tottenham,” Cascarino wrote about Gibbs-White in The Times. “There were two moments that stood out — the pass to Helder Costa was like something from Kevin De Bruyne, and it is very rare to see an 18-year-old Englishman playing in central midfield and picking a pass like that.
“Then when he shifted and sped past Harry Winks, who is a decent young player himself and no slouch, the only thing Winks could do to stop him was pull him down and take the yellow card.
“The skill to beat a man was like something we’ve seen from Jack Wilshere but this boy has a burst of pace that Wilshere never had, so the opponent cannot recover.
“There is no mature English player like this, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the closest, so you just hope Gibbs-White develops because he is some prospect.”

Promising talent
Gibbs-White is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and the 18-year-old midfielder’s performance against Tottenham was very encouraging.
The youngster came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute, and the teenager did clause problems for the Spurs defence and the midfield in their 3-2 defeat.
According to WhoScored.com, Gibbs-White played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 87.5%, took 32 touches, and attempted three dribbles.
Wilshere is one of the most talented English players playing at the moment, and it is quite a comparison from Cascarino.
Gibbs-White, though, must keep his feet on the ground, and should continue to work hard in training and make the most of the chances he gets for Wolves this season.
