Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 against Real Madrid in the Champions League clash on Tuesday.

Tottenham Hotspur put up a brilliant performance against the reigning European champions Real Madrid to secure a 1-1 draw in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino surprised everyone when he started with two strikers – Fernando Llorente and Harry Kane – against Los Blancos at Bernabeu.
Former Chelsea player-turned-pundit Tony Cascarino is impressed with this fearless, open and attacking style of football from Spurs.
He mentioned that credit should be given to Pochettino for being brave to field two strikers against Madrid, when teams usually play with a single striker, with an intention to sit deep and defend at Bernabeu.

“Harry Kane and Fernando Llorente proving a real hazard for Madrid and providing Tottenham with two out-balls when under pressure,” wrote Cascarino for The Times.
“But Tottenham found some reward in being brave, playing two forwards and proving you cannot just sit deep and hope for the best. They should be applauded for that.”

Cascarino has also praised Tottenham midfield’s maturity against Madrid’s midfield trio of Casemiro, Modric and Kroos.
Sissoko worked hard and did his defensive duties, while Cascarino was pleased with the maturity shown by Eriksen and Harry Winks in the middle of the park.
With Borussia Dortmund managing only a draw against Apoel, Spurs are now in a great position to qualify for the knockout stages.
