Leeds United have made a strong start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign.

Leeds narrowly failed to finish in the top six of the Championship last season despite being in the running for the playoffs for most of the campaign.
The West Yorkshire outfit are in great form at the moment and are among the clubs aiming to clinch a playoff spot.

The Whites are third in the Championship table at the moment with 11 points from five matches, just a point behind second-placed Ipswich Town.
Leeds are also going to be without Chris Wood for the rest of the season, with the New Zealand international striker having left for Premier League side Burnley in the summer transfer window.
Wood scored as many as 27 goals in the Championship last season, but former Chelsea striker Cascarino, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, does not expect him to be missed at Elland Road during the 2017-18 campaign.

“I do think Leeds have been the big surprise because they have lost Chris Wood, but I don’t think it’s going to affect them that much,” said Cascarino on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Sunday morning (broadcast from 7am, September 3, 2017).
“He got a lot of big goals for them last year, but they have done their business in the transfer market. A lot of Leeds fans are very excited.”
