Tottenham Hotspur will be preparing for their Champions League clash against Ajax next Wednesday.

Tony Cascarino has claimed that the ‘wonderful’ Christian Eriksen has had a ‘strange’ season for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The 27-year-old has seen Spurs suffered three defeats on the bounce within the space of a week, most recently their 1-0 loss at Bournemouth on Saturday.
Eriksen played every minute of each of those games, including his side’s Champions League first-leg semi-final defeat to his old club Ajax last Tuesday.
Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast on TalkSport (04/05/2019 at 7:10 pm), Cascarino claimed that Eriksen played poorly against the Dutch club last time out.
“Eriksen didn’t have a good game [against Ajax],” Cascarino told TalkSport. “He’s had a strange season because he is a wonderful player, but he’s really had an up and down season in performance.”

There is no doubt that Eriksen is one of Tottenham’s key players in the middle of the park and if they are to change their form from recent weeks then he will have to produce.
On Wednesday night, Eriksen will return to where it all started when Spurs aim to overturn a one-goal deficit against Ajax in the Champions League.
Over the course of the season, Eriksen has played 48 games in all competitions, scoring nine goals and supplying his teammates with 17 assists [transfermarkt].
