Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to move into their new stadium after the international break.

Tony Cascarino has claimed that Arsenal supporters are ‘never going to admit’ how good Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium is as they edge closer to their first competitive game.

Spurs’ U18’s are the first ones to take to the field at the club’s new surroundings, with Southampton’s youngsters being the first opponents, but that, of course, doesn’t involve the first-team.

The senior side will play at the club’s new surroundings for the first time on April 3 [Sky Sports] when they welcome Crystal Palace for a Premier League encounter.

Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT (24/03/2019 at 7:55 am), Cascarino spoke about Tottenham’s new stadium and other London clubs that have moved into new surroundings.

“I remember the first time I went to the Emirates,” Cascarino told talkSPORT. “Seeing it and viewing for the first time and I was taken aback. It was a fabulous stadium.

“I actually felt the same when I went to the Olympic Stadium. I thought ‘this is a great place to play football’. So much negativity towards the ground and how far away it was. Look, West Ham fans know it better than me. But I still thought it was a fabulous place to play football.

“And I am looking forward to going to the new White Hart Lane. It’s going to be great as well. They [Arsenal] fans are never going to admit it’s a nice stadium, are they?!”

Tottenham will be hoping to start off their reign at their new stadium with a win and further cement their place in the Champions League places.

Things are going well for Mauricio Pochettino in Europe, but they are on a four-game winless run in the Premier League, which has seen the chasing pack close the gap on them in the table.

Four points separate sixth-placed Chelsea and third-placed Tottenham, with title-chasers Liverpool being their first opponents upon their return from the international break.

They also have the Champions League to contend with as they will play fellow English side, Manchester City at their new stadium for the first leg before playing the return fixture at the Etihad.
