Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier has been criticised.

Tony Cascarino has told The Times he views Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier as a ‘liability’.
The pundit says he feels Dier was fortunate not to be sent off against Bournemouth.
Spurs had already been reduced to nine men, with Heung Min Son and Juan Foyth receiving red cards.
Cascarino said: “One player who was lucky to stay on for Tottenham was Eric Dier.
“The midfielder is becoming a liability; every time I watch him he looks like a red card waiting to happen.”

In contrast to Cascarino’s comments, Dier, 25, has received no red cards this season.
He does tread a fine line at times, but his tally of four yellow cards in 19 Premier League games is not excessive.
Going even further back, Dier has never been sent off at all while playing for Tottenham.
Where he can help himself, is by contributing more to the team’s attacking side.
Dier has never scored more than three goals in a season for Spurs. Getting on the scoresheet more frequently would dim the criticism his performances have attracted.
