West Ham United are the first team to score and win at Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium.

Tony Cascarino has stated that he ‘feared the worst’ for West Ham at the start of the season, but admitted that Manuel Pellegrini has done a ‘really good job’ at the club.
The former striker praised the ‘important’ Marko Arnautovtic and the versatile attacker Michail Antonio who can ’cause you problems’ for their performances this term.
On Saturday afternoon, both players did just that because they helped the Hammers record a 1-0 win at Tottenham’s new stadium.
Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast (27/04/2019 at 7:55 am), Cascarino’s comments paid off because the Hammers produced the goods later on in the day.
“West Ham fans have had a season where they have some really good highs,” Cascarino told TalkSport. “They’ve got some good players, they’ve been exciting at times and other times dreadful. When I saw them in the first game of the season against Liverpool, I feared the worst for West Ham, I thought they were awful.
“Manuel Pellegrini has done a really good job at West Ham. I think he has made them into a side that they’ll get down and they’ll play.
“Arnautovic is so important. They’ve got some good players. Michail Antonio coming in, I like him. I think he’s always direct, a powerhouse and can cause you problems.”

There is no doubt that Antonio is a very difficult customer to deal with on his day, particularly his aerial capabilities.
The Hammers are simply playing for pride now because they can’t finish in the top seven and they are well clear of the relegation zone.
Former Premier League winner Pellegrini was appointed their manager last summer and after a shaky start, he produced a number of strong performances and results for the club.
West Ham’s form at the London Stadium also proved dramatically, though they would have been disappointed with a draw to Leicester City and a defeat to Everton at their home stadium in recent weeks.
