Everton have not looked comfortable at all at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season.

David Moyes has his eye on a European spot, but the Toffees’ struggles at home are really holding them back.

They have now gone six games without a win there, with their last victory coming against Nottingham Forest back in early December.

Tony Bellew has weighed in on what is going wrong regarding the new ground, and it is hard to argue with his assessment.

Hill Dickinson Stadium too inviting for Everton, says Tony Bellew

Bellew spoke to the Liverpool Echo, saying that the 52,000-seater is so nice that away teams are finding it enjoyable.

He stated: “I agree the home form has not been that great, but ultimately, they’re getting the points to get us up the league. Home form will turn.

“It’s known now that every team going to a new stadium struggles in their first couple of seasons. I don’t think it’s down to atmosphere. I just feel it’s such a beautiful, great place to be that away teams are thinking, ‘I like it here, it’s lovely’.

“And they’re enjoying themselves a bit too much. I do think that will change eventually, but, for now, Everton are flying high,” the former boxer said.

Everton under pressure to get a result against Manchester United

Everton are back at the Hill Dickinson Stadium tonight as they face Manchester United in the Premier League.

A win would move Moyes’ side level on points with seventh-placed Brentford, so there is plenty riding on this fixture.

With the team’s home form already under scrutiny, fans will be hoping for a better showing this time around, especially after the 2-1 loss to Bournemouth in their last appearance there.

Alan Shearer has predicted a draw between Everton and United, which would not be a terrible result considering how Michael Carrick has turned things around for his side.
