Tony Adams has told Stadium Astro that Arsenal are just two signings away from being Premier League champions.
Arsenal have shown some encouraging signs of late, and their performance against Manchester United on Sunday was hugely impressive.
Mikel Arteta’s side went to Old Trafford and looked the better team throughout, as they claimed a 1-0 victory.
Arsenal have now climbed up to ninth place in the Premier League table, and optimism is building at the Emirates Stadium that they could challenge in the upper echelons of the table.
Adams feels that Arsenal’s current squad will take them into the top six this season, but with a goalkeeper and a striker brought in, he feels that the Gunners may actually have enough to win the league.

“They’ll finish above United. I think they’re a top six team,” Adams said. “There are some great positive signs, but they are missing a goalkeeper and a number 10, someone up-front, to be champions.
“We have a couple of leaders in central defence and midfield. We’re getting closer.”
Adams claim that Arsenal need a striker is hardly a surprise as Alexandre Lacazette hasn’t fully convinced this season and has come under fire.
The former Gunners centre-back’s suggestion that Arsenal need a new goalkeeper is more surprising, though.
Bernd Leno has generally impressed in Arsenal’s goal, and finding an upgrade could be difficult without spending a huge amount.
