Toni Martinez sends message on Twitter after West Ham move, fans respond

Toni Martinez will officially join West Ham United from Valencia in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the signing of Toni Martinez from Valencia.

The Premier League outfit announced on the club’s official website on Friday that they have agreed to the recruitment of the Spaniard forward.

Martinez is 18 years of age and plays as a striker, and is rated very highly back in Spain.

The Spain Under-17 international will officially join the Hammers on a three-year contract on June 1, 2016, but he will immediately train with his future teammates in order to settle in England before the start of next season.

The youngster was part of the Spain Under-19 side that won the 2015 UEFA European Championship title.

Martinez played eight times for Valencia in the UEFA Youth League this season, scoring once and providing three assists in the process.

The teenager has taken to Twitter to express his delight at moving to West Ham, with the London club’s fans having their say on the signing.
