Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has praised the Celtic fans for the atmosphere they created at Celtic Park during the UEFA Champions League game between the two sides on Tuesday evening, as quoted on Spanish TV and relayed by journalist Dermot Corrigan.
Defending Scottish Premiership champions Celtic took on defending La Liga champions Real Madrid at Celtic Park this evening.
The Hoops lost the UEFA Champions League match 3-0.
All three goals for Madrid, who won the UEFA Champions League last season, came in the second half.
Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior gave Carlo Ancelotti’s side the lead in the 56th minute.
Luka Modric made it 2-0 to Madrid on the hour mark, and then Eden Hazard wrapped up the points from Los Blancos on 77 minutes.

Celtic played well in the first half and managed to keep the Madrid attackers at bay.
The Bhoys had chances of their own in the opening 45 minutes, but Madrid’s superior class and quality came through in the second half.
German midfielder Kroos started the match for Madrid and played for the entire 90 minutes.
