Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers will expect Michael O’Halloran back in January unless a loan extension is agreed.

Tommy Wright has told The Record that he has “absolutely no sympathy” for on-loan Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran or Richard Foster after the duo missed St Johnstone’s match on Saturday.
The duo were omitted from Wright’s first XI in Saturday’s visit of Kilmarnock after not making it to the stadium in time.
It was later revealed that a motor accident on the A9 caused the Rangers man and his team-mate’s delay as Wright’s side lost 2-1 to Killie.

But the 54-year-old has claimed that it’s not a valid excuse.
“Our plans have been thrown into sort of chaos,” he told The Record. “Foster and O’Halloran haven’t made it on time. We’ve had to make two changes before the game even starts.
“I’ve absolutely no sympathy for them. It’s up to them to get here on time.
“They’ve got caught up in something which obviously isn’t their fault, but other players made it from the same area.”

Under Pedro Caixinha, O’Halloran had absolutely no future at Rangers but he could potentially have one under Derek McInnes, who is expected to take charge of the Gers this week.
Five goals in eight starts for Wright’s side suggests that the 26-year-old remains a capable goalscorer and the Ibrox side need as many of them as they can find, with Alfredo Morelos having not scored since September.
O’Halloran’s loan runs out in January.
