Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran has blown hot and cold in his year at Ibrox.
St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has told The Scottish Sun that he would love to re-sign Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran – but doesn’t think he will be available.
O’Halloran, 26, joined St Johnstone from Bolton Wanderers in 2014, and scored 16 goals in 90 games for the Scottish Premiership side before leaving last January.
The attacker – who can play up front or out wide – decided to leave St Johnstone almost a year ago in order to join Rangers, penning a four-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Formerly of Celtic, the Scot hit three goals in 13 games for Rangers last term, but has endured a frustrating campaign this season, starting just five league games so far.
Despite possessing the pace that Rangers often lack, O’Halloran has been on the fringes of Mark Warburton’s side, and speculation now surrounds his future at Ibrox.

Last week, the Daily Record reported that four clubs – including his former side St Johnstone – were keen to land O’Halloran during this month’s transfer window.
Now, St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has told The Scottish Sun that he doesn’t think Rangers will allow O’Halloran to leave on loan this month – but he’d love to sign him if he does become available.
Wright added that he would urge his chairman to go and bring O’Halloran back if he could, but there has been no formal contact over a deal to lure him back to Perth.
“I don’t think Michael is available for loan,” said O’Halloran. “If he was, that would be a player I would urge the chairman to go and try and sign for us, but Michael is under contract at Rangers.”
“If there is going to be speculation about his future at Rangers it’s easy to see we would be a club that would be suited for him but there’s been nothing formal,” he added.
