Tommy Fleetwood is back in the winner’s circle on the DP World Tour, taking home the title at the DP World India Championship.

Despite calling Delhi Golf Club one of the toughest venues he’s played, Fleetwood navigated it well enough to pick up his eighth career win on the tour.

Fleetwood closed with a seven-under 65 to finish at 22 under par for the week. That was good enough for a two-shot win over Keita Nakajima. Shane Lowry, Alex Fitzpatrick, and Thriston Lawrence shared third place at 18 under.

The win adds to what’s already been a strong year for Fleetwood. He also picked up his first PGA Tour victory at the Tour Championship earlier in the season.

Fleetwood also played a key role in Team Europe’s Ryder Cup victory over the United States, and his strong form has carried over into the new season.

Speaking after his win, Fleetwood was asked how it felt to collect an eighth DP World Tour title. He responded: “Yeah, lovely. Actually at the start of the week… I’ve done it actually since Ryder Cup, have had a few questions about hadn’t made it to the final two events of the year and things like that.

“I hadn’t qualified anyway. I said, I feel like for all the good that’s happened this year, a couple of things have disappointed me, that my sort of DP World Tour year has. Yeah, another win feels great.”

What Tommy Fleetwood was thinking about during his final round in India

Fleetwood has been one of the top performers of the 2025 season, and there’s still plenty of golf left to play.

He jumped 69 spots to 25th in the Race to Dubai rankings after his win at Delhi Golf Club.

Right now though, it’s about enjoying another victory with his family. He spoke about what it meant to have Frankie there with him, seeing him win for the first time in person.

Fleetwood explained: “Yeah, so we were at home last week and we were driving the buggy. I think we were playing golf together, and he just said randomly, ‘do you know what you’ve never done?’

“He said, ‘you’ve never won a tournament and I’ve been able to run on to the 18th green’. I was like, I’m writing that down.

“I had that written down all week. Like I say, it was just another opportunity really. There’s going to be many more times where I hopefully get the chance to do that.

“But that was like all day today, had in my mind could I put myself in a position where I can actually make that moment happen.”
