There were a few notable performances this past week on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, with Ben Griffin and Tommy Fleetwood among those standing out.

While Aaron Rai won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links, it was Fleetwood who earned plenty of attention after finishing runner-up.

In Abu Dhabi, Rai defeated the Englishman in a playoff, preventing him from adding another title after his recent successes at the Tour Championship and Ryder Cup.

Meanwhile, over on the PGA Tour, Griffin claimed his third victory of the season at the World Wide Technology Championship.

The 29-year-old secured a two-shot win at El Cardonal Golf Course in Mexico, finishing ahead of Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki.

Griffin’s recent win has moved him into the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), jumping from 12th to ninth.

That rise has bumped his Ryder Cup opponent Justin Rose down to 10th place.

Fleetwood, who also featured in that Ryder Cup, moved up one spot to fourth, swapping places with Russell Henley.

LIV Golf’s push for Official World Ranking points

The Official World Golf Ranking is crucial for many players, and LIV Golf is still pushing to secure ranking points.

LIV Golf has moved from 54-hole events to 72, and the change is set to take effect immediately, though it has not yet translated into ranking points.

In the meantime, LIV players are seeing their rankings slide, with Bryson DeChambeau being the latest to feel the impact.

He has gone down one place this week, moving from 23rd to 24th, with Abu Dhabi winner Rai taking over that position.

Hatton remains the top-ranked LIV player at 21st.
