Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has admitted to the club’s official website that their Champions League group is tough but exciting nonetheless.
The Scottish champions secured their return to the group stages of the competition this summer after a two-year absence under Ronny Deila.
They were not rewarded kindly for their efforts though as the draw saw them paired with Barcelona, Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach in Group C.

That group has bee regarded as something of a group of death for Brendan Rodgers side, with few expecting them to reach the knockout stages of the competition.
And Rogic has admitted that it will prove to be tough for them, but insists that taking on those sides is exciting nonetheless.
“It’s a tough draw but exciting. You want to play against the best teams and in this competition, there are no easy teams,” he told the club’s official website.
“We have some really good opposition in there and those opponents are going to be really tough. It’s good, exciting and something to look to forward to and this is the tournament you want to play in as a player.”

It now remains to be seen how Celtic fare in the Champions League, with expectations tempered by the difficulty of their draw.
Their group is a tough one, to say the least, but that was the case the last time they reached the last 16 in 2012-13.
They had to progress past Barcelona, Benfica and Spartak Movska that year and will surely feel if they could get through in that group, there is nothing stopping them doing so in this one.
