Tom Pearce has joined Scunthorpe United on loan from Leeds United.

As announced on Leeds’s official website on January transfer deadline day, Pearce has joined League One side Scunthorpe United on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a left wing-back, will be looking to establish himself in the first team at Scunthorpe in the coming weeks and months.
The England Under-21 international has explained how his move to Scunthorpe came about.
Pearce told Scunthorpe’s official website following his loan switch: “I got a phone call today saying that Scunthorpe were interested and as soon as I heard the interest it was a yes straight away really. It’s only 45 minutes away from Leeds so it was a quick drive up and I got signed.”

Good move for Tom Pearce
Pearce is a very good and talented young footballer who will be a good signing for Scunthorpe.
For the 20-year-old, too, it is a good move, as he will get more playing time at the League One club than he would have at Leeds during the second half of the season.
According to WhoScored, the England Under-21 international made two substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds this season.
