Tom Pearce summed up his delight at Leeds’ win over Derby in just three words on Twitter, while Ronaldo Vieira also seemed to make reference to the result with his own social media message.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side head into Wednesday semi-final second-leg 1-0 ahead after Kemar Roofe scored early on in the second-half at Pride Park following an outstanding assist from Jack Harrison.

It was an incident-packed game, but Roofe’s effort was one of just three attempts on target – all of which came from Leeds. Derby were awarded a penalty, but the decision was overturned when the linesman informed the referee that Harrison had himself been fouled rather than the other way around.

And Tom Huddlestone was booked after driving his elbow into Stuart Dallas’ face. All three incidents have helped add to the tension ahead of the second-leg at Elland Road.

Meanwhile, Vieira – who left last summer for Sampdoria in a £6.2 million deal (via Guardian) – also appeared to comment on the result as he posted a one-word message shortly after the full-time whistle…
