Aston Villa stopper Tom Heaton has immediately been put in as Dean Smith’s side’s number one goalkeeper.

Villa signed Heaton from Burnley over the summer, and the experienced goalkeeper has made a bright start at Villa Park.
Burnley are a side renowned for their dressing room unity, which makes them greater than the sum of their parts.
But Heaton claims that Villa’s squad are also very together, which has been a shock to him.
“We have an excellent dressing room,” Heaton said.
“Coming from Burnley, that was probably our unique selling point up there, how good the dressing room was. It meant always greater than the sum of its parts.
“Coming in here has been pleasantly surprising, actually. There are some really good lads and staff. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Heaton has instantly been installed as Villa’s number one stopper since arriving and he has made an impressive start.
The England international caught the eye towards the end of pre-season for Villa and his form has carried on into the campaign.
Heaton made some very impressive saves for Villa, as they almost held on to claim a result in their Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur.
Villa are next in action against Bournemouth at home at the weekend, when Heaton will hope that he isn’t quite as busy.
