The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was impressed with the Manchester United star’s performance for England against Wales at Euro 2016.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Wayne Rooney’s performance for England against Wales on Thursday afternoon.
The Manchester United star started the Euro 2016 Group B game at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens and played for the entire 90 minutes.

England came from a goal down to get the better of Wales 2-1 and retain their chances of progressing past the group stage.
The 30-year-old, who is a forward by trade, played in midfield and gave a very composed and mature performance for the Three Lions.

The former Everton star took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 91%, created five chances, put in 10 crosses, attempted eight dribbles, and made one interception.
Tottenham midfielder Carroll, who is 24 years of age and is a former England Under-21 international, was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Rooney.
England are at the top of Euro 2016 Group B at the moment with four points from two matches, a point clear of Wales and Slovakia, who are currently second and third respectively in the standings.
