The Celtic man is one of Europe’s most promising young defenders.

Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Tom Boyd has paid tribute to Celtic starlet Kieran Tierney and believes his consistency is simply “frightening”.
The young left-back has emerged as one of Europe’s finest young defenders since breaking into the Celtic side two years ago under former manager Ronny Deila.
Tonight he will get another chance to showcase his talent on the biggest stage as the Hoops visit Paris Saint-Germain in matchday five of the Champions League.

At 20, Tierney has already captained Scotland after wearing the armband for a friendly with the Netherlands earlier this month, and former Celtic man Boyd can’t get over his consistency or his capacity to remain grounded amid so much praise.
“I’ve spoken about him with a few other former players and, for someone so young, I don’t recall him having too many bad games,” he told The Scottish Sun.

“Normally, as a kid, you progress and you learn and there will be a few periods where you’re taken out of the firing line and given a rest for your own good. But Kieran’s not had that and he doesn’t look as though he needs it.
“The level of consistency and the standard he’s been setting is frightening, although it’s helped him that the team has been doing so well. Some of his performances have been outstanding and the good thing is that he hasn’t been carried away by all the plaudits he’s received.”
Brendan Rodgers might be tempted to rest a few of his bigger players tonight, with one eye on Sunday’s League Cup final with Motherwell.
It’s entirely possible that the Hoops will take a heavy beating tonight, even with their best XI, so you wonder whether the Northern Irishman will elect to keep some of his heavy hitters sharp for the weekend.
