The Celtic keeper has displaced Dorus De Vries since his arrival.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Hoops legend Tom Boyd has paid tribute to the “outstanding” Craig Gordon since winning his place back in the first XI.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper was dropped by manager Brendan Rodgers at the start of the season.
The Northern Irishman signed Dorus De Vries – whom he worked with at Swansea City – and gave the Dutchman a number of chances to impress in the first XI.

But the 35-year-old failed to repay the faith shown in him by Rodgers, and he has not kicked a ball for Celtic since coming off at half time in 6-1 win over Kilmarnock on September 24.
But Boyd says that spell on the sidelines did wonders for Gordon, whom the Bhoys legend claims has certainly benefitted from the snub by Rodgers.
“He was left out after De Vries came in and had a few games”, he told Celtic TV.

“I think it did a world of good for Craig. I think it sharpened him up because we have seen his reflexes, they have been outstanding in some of the games.
“Point-blank saves or shots he has pushed over the bar, he has certainly been in outstanding form once again.”
Celtic look certain to win a sixth Scottish Premiership title already, with Rodgers’s side – who also have a game in hand – 10 points clear of Aberdeen in second.
