Lennon is reportedly expected to replace current Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, who is in talks with Leicester City.

Tom Boyd has told PLZ Soccer that he hopes Neil Lennon will return to Celtic as manager for the second time as Brendan Rodgers has been confirmed as entering talks with Premier League side Leicester City.
Celtic confirmed on their official website that Rodgers had asked for permission to speak with Leicester, to which the Hoops board have “very reluctantly” allowed the Northern Irish boss.
Leicester – a club Lennon played for during his playing career – are without a manager after sacking French boss Claude Puel following six defeats in their last seven games.
Former Celtic captain Boyd stated he was “shocked” by Rodgers to leave Celtic with the club eight points clear at the top of the table, before stating he wants to see Lennon return.
“I’m shocked and disappointed,” Boyd said. “It really happens, that a manager will leave when his side are sitting at the top of the league. The circumstances between Scottish football and English football are completely different.
“Celtic Football Club will still be there. We will still have supporters. Rumour has it the next manager will be Lenny. Lenny is a legend at the football club. Hopefully it will be him that comes in and takes over.”

Following seven years at the club as a player, Lennon became manager in 2010 and lasted four years at the club – starting the consecutive run of league wins, beginning in 2011-12. He also held aloft the 2012-12 and 2013-14 trophies.
Lennon recently left Hibernian after guiding the Easter Road side back into the top flight from the Championship, but departed after an incident with other colleagues. He has since been replaced by Paul Heckingbottom.
BBC Sport claim Lennon is the clear favourite to replace Rodgers, though it remains to be seen whether the 47-year-old will be given the job permanently or on an interim basis.
