Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp likes Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell, according to 90min.

It is being reported today (1:05pm) that Liverpool boss Klopp ‘appreciates’ Cantwell.

Liverpool want to sign a forward player before the summer transfer window closes, and the 23-year-old Englishman is among those the Merseyside club are interested in.

Could a Liverpool transfer happen?

Norwich won promotion from the Championship at the end of last season.

Interestingly, the Canaries’ first Premier League game of the season is against Liverpool this weekend.

A big offer for Cantwell could see Norwich sell him.

The 23-year-old himself could be tempted by a move to a massive club like Liverpool who have won the Premier League title and the Champions League in recent years.

The Sun reported this month that Norwich will demand at least £40 million for the youngster, adding that Aston Villa are interested in him.

Described as “an exceptional, exceptional player” by former Norwich striker Chris Sutton on BBC Radio 5 Live in June 2020, the attacking midfielder scored six goals and provided two assists in the Premier League in 2019-20.

Cantwell scored six goals and gave six assists in the Championship for Norwich last season.
