Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keeping his cards close to his chest regarding Diogo Jota.

Jota hasn’t kicked a ball for the Reds since December due to injury.

In that time, Liverpool have badly missed the Portuguese attacker, who joined Klopp’s side from Wolves last summer.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals in his first couple months at Anfield and fans of the Merseyside club have been eagerly anticipating his return.

Jota was photographed in training at the Axa Training Centre on Tuesday ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Chelsea in the Premier League.

But Klopp has revealed that illness restricted the player in training yesterday, though has claimed that he now ‘feels better’.

He told a press conference: “Diogo had a stomach problem. He trained yesterday but it was only a little bit. He feels better, so we will see what we can do. Today I was told he feels better, so we’ll see what steps he can make.”

If we’re honest, Klopp should keep Jota underwraps.

Their season is now all about winning the Champions League after slipping out of the Premier League title in a massive way, despite being reigning champions.

And with Liverpool’s injury problems this season, they can’t take a risk with a player who could have a huge say on their end-of-season form.
