Tottenham Hotspur need to create more in the final third, according to Toby Alderweireld.
Spurs centre-back Toby Alderweireld has called on his team to be more creative in the final third, and to approach their attacking play in a more mature manner, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
Tottenham currently sit 10 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea, but have improved over recent weeks, winning three of their last four league games.
The return of Harry Kane and Alderweireld to the starting line-up has unquestionably helped, but the Belgian missed yesterday’s win over Burnley after suffering another injury setback, this time with a back strain.

The 27-year-old former Atletico Madrid defender isn’t expected to be out for too long, however, and has urged his side to be more clinical, and create more when they are in and around the opposition’s penalty area, as quoted by the Daily Mail:
“We could create more. We need a bit more quality in the final third. We need to be more mature up front. Like on Wednesday (against Hull), we scored three goals.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s men now face a crucial spell of fixtures over the festive period and on into the new year.
Back-to-back away matches against Southampton and Watford respectively are followed by a crucial home game against London rivals Chelsea.
