Tottenham Hotspur have been playing all of their home games at Wembley Stadium since the start of last season.

Tottenham ace Toby Alderweireld sat down for an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, and admitted that playing all of their home games at Wembley Stadium since the start of last season has affected the players.
Spurs were supposed to move into their new 62,000 capacity home at the start of this season, but work on the impressive state of the art stadium has overrun.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been forced to play their home games at Wembley once again, and whilst they have performed admirably at the England national team’s home, it is still not the fortress that White Hart Lane once was.
Alderweireld, 29, spoke exclusively to Sky Sports, and admitted that playing at Wembley has undoubtedly affected the Tottenham players:

“We never used Wembley as an excuse and we will not do that now. But it has affected us. I am grateful to play at Wembley, it is a very historical place, but it is not the same feeling as White Hart Lane. There we had a special home feeling. But in that way, we did very well to be successful at Wembley. But I know the club is doing everything in their power to play as quickly as possible in our stadium.”
Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Molineux to take on Wolves tomorrow, and Alderweireld and co will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.
