Injured Tottenham star Toby Alderweireld has shared an encouraging update on social media showing that he’s back in the gym.
This comes after Jose Mourinho claimed he could miss two to four weeks of action with a muscle injury.
The Belgian is set to miss some key games against the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, but based on his post on Instagram he may be back sooner rather than later.
The centre-back posted a video showing some of the work he’s doing in the gym as he attempts to get back to full fitness.
The centre back looks as though he’s recovering quite well, and he even says in the caption that he is feeling better every day.
The clips in the post show Alderweireld being put through his paces, and it certainly seems as though he’s working hard to get back as soon as possible.
We can only hope that the ex-Ajax man’s rehabilitation continues to be successful and that he’s back on the pitch sooner rather than later.
With a crucial game against Liverpool coming up on December 16th, Spurs certainly need their star defender to continue working hard on his recovery.
