Toby Alderweireld has reacted to Tottenham Hotspur’s shock victory at Manchester City this evening.

The Lilywhites produced a remarkable, never-say-die performance to win 3-2 away to the Premier League champions.

Harry Kane scored a second goal for himself deep into stoppage time, minutes after Riyad Mahrez scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-2.

However, despite recent defeats, Tottenham have looked a different animal since Antonio Conte replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in November for the most part.

And this display is more evidence of that.

Here’s how Alderweireld, very much a legendary figure in North London, reacted to the result on Twitter after the game:

Massive

That’s the only word to describe the three points from Conte’s outfit tonight.

Massive.

Remember, Tottenham are still in a battle to finish in the Champions League places and this victory puts them four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with two games in hand.

It’s been a horrendous run of form for Spurs lately after losing back-to-back home outings to Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

However, this performance is a major reminder that the Italian manager is capable of drawing immense levels from his players and if they can maintain this standard between now and May, the North Londoners have every chance of getting back into Europe’s elite competition.
