The Tottenham Hotspur defender is ready for anyone in the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has made it clear that he is excited for the upcoming Champions League draw, despite Tottenham’s seeding for the tournament.
Spurs are seeded third for the draw so are likely to face a tough group, especially with one of their opponents to be drawn from Pot One.

But the Belgian defender is in no doubt about his feelings towards facing Europe’s best – bring them on is his motto.
He is quoted by the London Evening Standard as stating:
“There are only the best teams in pot one so obviously we are going to draw at least one good team.

“But in the Champions League they are all good teams so it will be fun and good to show ourselves and to compare ourselves with the big teams. We have to believe that we can win every game and go through to the knockout stage.”
Alderweireld is one of players in the Spurs dressing room with Champions League experience. He featured in the tournament on several occasions with Ajax and played in the 2014 final with Atletico Madrid.

Spurs, who will be playing their Champions League games at Wembley this season due to construction work at White Hart Lane, will no doubt be hoping for a good run in the competition this season.
The club have strengthened over the summer and it looks like more strength in depth may be around the corner as well.
Alderweireld and co will now be hoping to spring a few surprises and go far in the competition.
