Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur announcing that Toby Alderweireld is leaving Spurs.
What’s the story?
Tottenham have just announced on their official website (12pm) that Alderweireld is leaving for Al-Duhail SC in Qatar.
The North London club have reached an agreement with Al-Duhail SC over the transfer of the 32-year-old central defender.

End of an area
Alderweireld leaving now and Jan Vertonghen parting company with Tottenham last summer means that it is the end of an era at Spurs.
The two veteran centre-backs were instrumental in Tottenham establishing themselves as regulars in the Premier League top four.
Spurs also reached the final of the Champions League in 2019.
Alderweireld did not have the best of seasons at Spurs in 2020-21, but fans will always remember him for how he made the team so strong defensively during the Mauricio Pochettino era.
A new era is beginning at Tottenham, and it will be interesting to see what happens under new head coach Nuno and managing director of football Fabio Paratici.
