Tottenham star as it stands plans to be at Tottenham next season.

The Mirror reported last week that Tottenham Hotspur are resigned to losing Toby Alderweireld in the summer.
Alderweireld’s contract runs until 2020, and it contains a release clause allowing clubs to sign him for just £26 million in the upcoming transfer window.
For a player of his quality, it’s a bargain.
For now however, Alderweireld is planning on a Tottenham stay, until he is told otherwise.
He told Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad: “I have a one-year contract after this season and I am still happy with Tottenham.
“My own season was good, that makes sense to do even better next year.”

Alderweireld ended last season in and out of the Tottenham team, with it unclear whether he was axed due to selection issues, or whether it was to do with his contract.
After a strong World Cup, Alderweireld has performed well this season for Tottenham and when they have left him out, they have paid the price.
Alderweireld will have a big market this summer and Tottenham will do well to hang onto him.
