The Tottenham Hotspur defender faces an uncertain future in north London.

Toby Alderweireld admitted that he doesn’t know if he will still be at Tottenham next season, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.
The Belgian has just over one year remaining on his current deal with Spurs, but he could be set for an exit this summer, with a £26 million release clause inserted into his current deal, according to the Daily Mail.
Alderweireld joined Tottenham from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth £11.5 million, and he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the finest centre-backs in world football, making 147 appearances in the process for the north London outfit.
The Belgium international is a vital player for Spurs, but he admitted that he is unsure whether he will still be in north London next season, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports:

“There’s a lot to play for this season. And in the end I have a year contract left at Spurs, so I don’t look further than this season. Other things I don’t know. I am very happy at Spurs, so we will see what the future brings.”
A lot can still happen between now and the summer, of course.
Alderweireld could sign a new contract for example, but as things stand, it is looking ever more likely that the 30-year-old will leave Tottenham in the summer.
