Bayer Leverkusen’s visit of Glasgow Rangers on Thursday gave Chelsea fans a chance to watch the rumoured Blues target, Kai Havertz, in action for the German side.
But while Havertz was once again in the thick of the Leverkusen action in a 1-0 win for his side, it is not just his display which appears to have caught the eye of those of a Chelsea persuasion.
At the other end of the pitch, Edmond Tapsoba played a vital role in achieving that victory – clearing Connor Goldson’s goal-bound attempt for Rangers off the line.
And given Chelsea’s shortcomings in the cente-back’s position, it is perhaps no surprise to see the following Blues followers gushing over Tapsoba.
Tapsoba only moved to Germany in January, costing Leverkusen a reported £16 million from Vitoria de Guimaraes.
The 21-year-old was linked with moves to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers prior to that.

But a Premier League switch could still be on the cards for Tapsoba if his form continues.
