Speaking to Liverpool’s official club website, Jordan Henderson has been discussing the upcoming game against Arsenal.

The Reds face the league leaders on Sunday in what should be an absolute barnstormer of a fixture, and while Liverpool have been one of Europe’s dominant teams in recent years, they come into this one as slight underdogs.

After a win against Rangers in midweek, Henderson says that Liverpool need to carry momentum through to this weekend, claiming that the Reds need to be at their very best if they’re going to have any chance of getting a result aasint Mikel Arteta’s side.

Henderson’s Arsenal verdict

The Liverpool captain spoke about the upcoming game against the north Londoners.

“One hundred per cent – we need to,” Henderson said about taking momentum from the Rangers win through to the weekend

“Arsenal are flying at the minute so we need to be at 100 per cent to even have a chance of going there and getting a good result.”

Got to be on the ball

Liverpool haven’t been good enough as of late, but they have to be on the ball if they’re going to get anything against Arsenal this weekend.

The Gunners have won all but one of their games so far this season, while their home form has been impeccable, winning every single game played at the Emirates so far this season.

Liverpool are certainly good enough on their day to go and get a result against Arsenal, but those days have been few and far between this season.

Henderson is under no illusions about the challenge the Reds face this weekend, and as long as every Liverpool player is aware of the standards they have to meet, they should go to the Emirates and give Arsenal a real run for their money on Sunday.
