Some Stoke City fans are waxing lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke.
The 20-year-old left Spurs to join the Championship outfit on a half-season loan during the January transfer window.
And Clarke has already established himself as a popular figure among some supporters of the Potters, even if manager Michael O’Neill isn’t entirely convinced yet it seems.
O’Neill benched the Tottenham gem again on Wednesday night for the visit of Swansea, but Clarke got on for the whole second half and suffice to say that his 45-minute showing went down very well with fans of his loan club.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
It was a miserable end to the game for Clarke, who joined Tottenham from Leeds United in 2019 for £10 million.
He conceded the penalty which Andre Ayew converted in the dying minutes to seal a 2-1 victory for the visitors but, upon closer inspection, it did look like Kyle Naughton went to ground under little or no contact from the Thorp Arch graduate and O’Neill cut a furious figure at full-time.
